About the job Youth Worker (Woodlands)

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, manage and mentor students serving in-house suspension.
  • Support students under the reintegration programme.
  • Supervise students sent out from class for time-out and guide them through restorative conversations and teachable moments.
  • Conduct proactive patrols around the school to engage and monitor at-risk students.
  • Deliver Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) skill-building sessions during TSR and CCE periods.
  • Assist in developing and preparing SEL skill-building materials and modules.
  • Provide additional student management support for high-needs classes and other school activities as required.

Requirements / Preferred Qualifications:

  • Former uniformed service personnel (e.g., Police Force, Prison Service, Armed Forces, SCDF) preferred.
  • Passionate about working with youths and at-risk students.
  • Positive mindset with a strong belief in students' ability to learn, grow and change.
  • Good communication, interpersonal and conflict management skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a school support team.
  • Experience in counselling, mentoring, youth work, student management or community engagement will be an advantage.

Duration/Working hours:

1 year contract (Option to extend another year) (July 2026 to Jun 2027)

Mon–Fri:

8:00 am to 2:00 pm
