About the job Discipline 'Support Officer (Queenstown)

Looking for a compassionate and confident Discipline Support Officer (DSO) to support student behaviour management and promote a safe, positive school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with student investigations, fact-finding, and incident reporting.
  • Supervise detention, recess, lunch, and in-house suspension programmes.
  • Support student reflection, restorative practices, and behavioural development.
  • Conduct campus patrols and help prevent misconduct.
  • Work closely with the Student Management Committee, teachers, and parents.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Early Childhood, Psychology, Counselling, Social Work, Youth Work, Community Services, or equivalent.
  • Retired officers from MHA or retired school staff with student discipline experience are welcome to apply.
  • Strong communication and report-writing skills.
  • Calm, professional, and able to manage challenging situations.
  • Passionate about supporting children and youths with behavioural or social-emotional needs.
  • Comfortable conducting investigations and maintaining confidential records.

Duration/Working hours:

4 months contract (Option to extend another 10 months + 10mths) (Aug 2026 to Nov 2026)

Deployment: minimum 3 days per week (up to 4 days per week)
The working days each week are flexible based on mutual
agreement with Authority
Flexibility may be required for home visits, investigation and
meetings
Working hours: 8.30 am – 3.30 pm inclusive of 30 min lunch
break
Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazette public
holidays during the MOE School Holiday periods as follows:
27-28 July 2026 (Prelim Oral)
07 & 10 Aug 2026 (National Day)
12 & 13 Aug 2026 (PSLE Oral Exam)
