Consulting Manager - Nonprofit Accounting

This Consulting firm is seeking a Manager level candidate (or strong Senior stepping into the role) to add to the team! This individual will be responsible for handling a portfolio of clients, managing month-end close, financial statement preparation, assisting with any systems implementations / upgrades, process improvement, and internal controls.

This is a great role for an individual looking to get away from Audit, yet retain a variety of work. Travel is not required for this role (work to be done either remote, or from the corporate office depending on preference)

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all corporate accounting for a portfolio of clients
• Business partner with Controllers / Accounting leadership teams
• Preparation of Financial Statements (Quarterly / Annual)
• Month-end close, reconciliations, cash management
• Budgeting, Financial Planning, and variance analysis
• Review work completed by direct reports
• Maintain accounting policies and internal controls
• Implement process improvements and efficiencies
• Support annual audit efforts as needed
• Train / mentor junior level staff
• Ad hoc projects as assigned

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of Public Accounting experience, with Nonprofit clients
• CPA is preferred, not required
• Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Ability to lead teams
• Self-motivated; strong communication and business partnering skills
