MEP Service Manager

 Job Description:

We are looking for a Service Manager to join our MEP company and lead our service department. As a Service Manager, you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, proposing and managing preventive maintenance contracts, creating and implementing policies and procedures, and overseeing the service field team and coordinators. You will also assist with training new coordinators on the software system Sage 300 Construction and ensure customer satisfaction and quality service delivery.

To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience in managing service operations in the MEP industry, excellent communication and leadership skills, and a strong knowledge of HVAC and plumbing systems. You should also be familiar with Sage 300 Construction software and have a valid drivers license.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate new business opportunities and grow the service department
  • Propose and manage preventive maintenance contracts from the construction projects
  • Create and implement policies and procedures to standardize workflow for the service field team and coordinators
  • Assist with training new coordinators on the software system Sage 300 Construction
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of the service field team and coordinators
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and quality service delivery
  • Resolve any issues or complaints from customers or staff
  • Prepare and manage budgets, invoices, reports, and records
  • Coordinate with other departments and external partners as needed
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in the MEP industry

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in engineering, business administration, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing service operations in the MEP industry
  • Proven track record of generating new business opportunities and growing the service department
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC and plumbing systems
  • Familiarity with Sage 300 Construction software or similar
  • Valid drivers license and clean driving record
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks
  • Availability to work on-call 24/7 as needed
