SENIOR STRUCTURAL ENGINEER/PROJECT MANAGER

Specific Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):
· Have an in-depth understanding and ability to analyze and design according to current design codes, design criteria, and structural mechanics.
- Design of Permanent Structures such as bridges, sign foundations, moment slabs, MSE Walls, etc.
- Design of Temporary Structures including, but not limited to:
- Formwork/Falsework Design
- Erection, Demolition, and Heavy Lift Planning
- Support of Excavation Systems
- Load Rating and Evaluation of Existing Structures
- Temporary Bridges and Work Trestles
- Fall Protection Systems
- Barge Analysis
- On-Site Design Engineering Support and Inspections.
- Provide engineering and/or estimating support during project pursuit phase.
- Identify and prepare value engineering proposals.
- Coordinate with Project Managers/Engineers and Owners to resolve issues.
- Identify and assist with the preparation of value engineering proposals.
- Assist with material and shop drawing submittals.
- Assist Project Manager with project log updates and maintenance.
- Assist with surveying calculations and plans.
· Assist with implementation of new software (3D CAD, DatuBIM, etc.).
Position Requirements:
· Bachelors and/or masters degree or higher in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university (masters degree or greater is preferred).
- 10+ years of relevant engineering experience.
- Experience with permanent and temporary structures and/or construction engineering preferred.
- PE licensure within the United States and ability to obtain additional licensure and certifications as required.
- Strong understanding of constructability and academic knowledge of structural engineering.
- Experience with engineering design and drafting software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, RISA-3D, MathCAD, SkyCiv, etc.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to organize and manage multiple project assignments.
- Team player and self-motivated.
· Legally able to work in the US.
