MD Staffing Services is actively recruiting Psychologists, Psychiatrists, and Behavioral Health Specialists licensed in California for upcoming telemedicine and onsite locum opportunities statewide.

Responsibilities

In these roles, you will provide comprehensive behavioral health services — including evaluations, counseling, medication management (for prescribing clinicians), and crisis support — via secure telehealth platforms. These positions offer excellent flexibility while allowing you to deliver high-quality care to diverse patient populations.

• Conduct virtual behavioral health assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and follow-up sessions.

• Provide psychotherapy, counseling, and evidence-based interventions appropriate to your licensure.

• Psychiatrists only: Perform medication management, prescribe, and oversee psychopharmacology treatment plans.

• Psychologists & Therapists: Deliver psychotherapy modalities including CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care, and supportive counseling

• Develop and adjust individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and progress.

• Collaborate with an integrated care team: physicians, PMHNPs, therapists, social workers, and a care coordinator.s

• Maintain accurate, timely documentation within 24 hours

• Stay current with best practices in behavioral health, psychotherapy, and mental health treatment.

Provider Qualifications

Psychologist (PhD/PsyD)

• Active California Psychologist license

• Experience providing therapy via telehealth preferred

• Strong diagnostic and assessment skills

Psychiatrist (MD/DO)

• Active California medical license + DEA

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry

• Experience with telepsychiatry preferred
  
  

Behavioral Health Specialist (LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, LMSW)

• Active California Behavioral Health license

• Skilled in delivering evidence-based therapy

• Comfortable practicing independently

All Roles:

• Strong communication and clinical judgment

• Ability to work independently in a remote environment

• Reliable high-speed internet connection

• Organized and timely with documentation
