Contract duration: 1 year (possible to extend)
Purpose of the position is to assemble and install rigging gear such as cable, ropes, pulleys and winches to lift, lower, move or position machinery, structural steel and other heavy objects in a safe and accurate manner.
Main Responsibilities:
- Perform rigging and spotting activities safely in compliance with company procedures and HSE standards.
- Attach, inspect, and operate rigging equipment for lifting, moving, and positioning heavy loads.
- Direct crane and lifting operations using standard hand signals and radio communication.
- Assess load weight, center of gravity, and select appropriate lifting equipment.
- Establish and maintain exclusion zones to ensure personnel safety during lifting operations.
- Conduct pre-use and daily inspections of rigging gear, tools, and lifting equipment; report defects immediately.
- Assist with crane setup, outrigger positioning, and lifting preparations.
- Monitor lifting activities and stop work immediately when unsafe conditions are identified.
- Maintain rigging equipment, complete inspection records, and ensure proper storage.
- Support warehouse, logistics, loading/unloading, and material handling activities, including forklift and telehandler operations where required.
- Follow work-at-height procedures and all site safety regulations.
- Coordinate with supervisors, crane operators, contractors, and logistics teams to ensure safe and efficient lifting operations.
Requirements:
- Professional certificate in Rigging and Spotting.
- Telehandler or Forklift operator certificate is an advantage.
- Valid Mongolian Class B and M driver's license preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in rigging and lifting operations within mining, construction, or industrial environments.
