We are seeking a Reliability Engineer to join our team.

JOB PURPOSE

Responsible for the implementation and improvement of the RCM (Reliability Centred Maintenance) program, Defect Elimination investigations and other engineering initiatives that add significant value to the business. Continuously monitor and review equipment performance to improving equipment reliability, provide consistent communication and reporting and provide engineering solutions to reliability issues, assisting with the rollout of improvement initiatives.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Demonstrate safety leadership in your own behaviour and your interactions with others
  • Promote, encourage and foster the safety culture within the Maintenance Department at Oyu Tolgoi.
  • Assisting in conducting safety verification when visiting underground workshop.
  • Immediately report any injury, incident or near miss encountered during the course of work.
  • Consistently maintaining leadership behaviours that set an example for your colleagues.
  • Communicate clear direction to site maintenance teams.
  • Communicate detailed plans of engineering solutions to the respective OEMs as required.
  • Identify project-based opportunities to improve efficiencies and reduce maintenance costs.
  • Identify practices that are out of date or redundant to improve workflow and reduce overall operating cost base.
  • Understand the whole life equipment strategy.
  • Ongoing monitoring of plant reliability and development of improvement strategies.
  • Implement and conduct RCM considering the following core components:
    • Preventative Maintenance performance
    • Proactive Maintenance (Age exploration, FMECA, RCA etc.)
  • Identify and drive reliability projects that consistently improve fleet performance and lower the overall operating cost base.
  • Identify operational factors that can impact equipment reliability.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the quality and efficiency of maintenance work through enhanced reliability program.
  • Monitor and measure the effectiveness of Continuous Improvement Programs considering KPI and reliability results
  • Continually liaise with OEMs to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Communicate innovations and improvements to key stakeholders in relation to reliability program.
  • Monitor diagnostic and condition monitoring activities when needed to improve equipment reliability and performance.

EXPERIENCE

  • Exposure to mobile assets (Surface or Underground) and subsequent maintenance activities
  • Strong understanding of Reliability Centred Maintenance principles in a mobile asset environment.

EDUCATION

  • Engineering degree (preferably Mechanical) or equivalent qualifications and experience.

LICENCES & CERTIFICATES

  • Technical qualification (other trades), with relevant training in Networks, IP + Vehicle Control System Training
  • Engineering degree
  • Cert III/Cert IV Training and Assessment Qualification

OTHER

  • Fluent English skills
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Highly Proficient in MS Office and data analysis reporting tools
  • Competent in the use of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (SAP)
  • Highly Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to negotiate with stakeholders and influence outcomes.
