Job Title: Chief Accountant

Location: Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia

Responsibilities:

• Lead full-cycle accounting and monthly and annual closing for Securities Company and Asset Management.
• Supervise and review tax filings, statutory financial statements, regulatory reports and supporting schedules.
• Coordinate external audit, tax review and responses to regulators and other authorities.
• Prepare management reports, cash-flow information, budgets and budget-versus-actual analysis for management.
• Manage treasury, payments, payroll accounting, reconciliations, fixed assets, receivables and payables.
• Maintain and improve accounting policies, closing procedures, documentation and internal controls.
• Support fund accounting, NAV preparation or review, investor-level records and reconciliation with custodians and administrators, as applicable.
• Provide regular accounting oversight to related companies, including reviewing records, close quality, tax compliance and reporting.
• Work with the CEO and COO on finance and accounting matters and provide practical advice on transactions and new business activities.

Requirements:

• 5–8 years of relevant accounting experience, including substantial experience in the financial sector.
• Strong hands-on experience in full-cycle accounting, month-end and year-end close, tax filings, audit and statutory reporting.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
• MonCPA qualification strongly preferred.
• Sound knowledge of Mongolian accounting and tax requirements and applicable IFRS reporting principles.
• Experience with treasury, payroll, internal controls, budgeting and management reporting.
• Fund accounting, investment-fund NAV or asset-management accounting experience is an advantage, not a mandatory requirement.
• Able to prepare work directly as well as review and oversee accounting performed by others.
• High integrity, accuracy, confidentiality, ownership and ability to meet deadlines.
• English proficiency is preferred but not mandatory.
