Job title: Lead Financial Controller and Finance Business Partner

Role Description and Purpose:

This role delivers the financial accounting function for the operating entities, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and the company's financial controls and standards. The role also ensures statutory compliance in a country and requires working closely with the company's Corporate Offices. The role will also require close contact with the Joint Venture Partner and Global Business Services.

Key Accountabilities:

• Prepare business unit financial statements (B/S, P&L, Cash Flow) and consolidate financial reports.
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end processes, liaising with company GBS as needed.
• Maintain financial integrity by ensuring company accounting policies and standards compliance.
• Manage General Ledger, period-end close, reconciliations, and asset impairment reviews.
• Lead internal and external audits, ensuring accurate audit packs.
• Implement and oversee internal controls, intercompany accounting, and assurance processes.
• Conduct product cost analysis and pricing for internal/external use.
• Support finance projects, cost-saving initiatives, and ad hoc tasks.
• Provide financial support to business functions, including capital requests and contract optimization.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and working capital.
• Evaluate country financial performance and influence key stakeholders.
• Oversee dividend payments, regulatory filings, statutory accounts, and tax compliance.
• Ensure adherence to the company's financial authority limits, treasury, and statutory policies.

Critical Experience and Qualifications:

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting or Business discipline
• Fluency in both English and Mongolian
• Professional designation CA, CMA, or CPA
• Preferably with an external audit background, Big 4 audit firm experience will be an additional advantage
• Experience in a large, global business in a similar role
• People leadership experience
• 8+ years post-graduate experience in accounting or finance (or related discipline)
• Excellent knowledge of accounting standards
• SAP and Advanced Excel skills are essential
