Role Purpose:
The purpose of this role is to plan the construction project schedule, monitor and analyze the progress of the project, and take necessary actions. It is also responsible for ensuring coordination with the construction team and other relevant stakeholders during the project implementation process.The position contributes to monitoring the quality of materials and workmanship on construction projects, ensuring compliance with specifications, codes, and standards. It also involves providing accurate quantity take-offs to support cost estimating and tracking. It requires close collaboration with Project Managers, Project Leads, engineering, construction, and other functional teams to help ensure overall project success.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists with the creation, maintenance and reporting on the project plan and schedule.
  • Participates in project schedule review meetings and update schedules.
  • Assists in maintaining the integrity of integrated project schedules.
  • Supports development of monthly schedule reports, including proper analysis.
  • Assists in the development and update of progress and commodity curves using EV method.
  • Assists in schedule development and monitoring for assigned areas.
  • Supports compliance with standardized processes, systems and tools.
  • Maintains the relationship with contracting and other project planning stakeholders.
  • Collaborates with the cost engineering and estimating groups to ensure that implications of changes are well articulated.
  • Assists with analyzing and reporting implications of changes to plan and schedule.
  • Provides technical support to project stakeholders.
  • Prepare detailed material take-offs and quantity estimates from drawings and specifications.
  • Support cost estimation for budgeting, procurement, and cost reporting.
  • Monitor actual material consumption and construction progress against planned quantities.
  • Validate contractor progress claims and support payment certification processes.
  • Participate in the evaluation of variations, claims, and change orders.
  • Provide input for project financial reporting and forecasting.
  • Manage and track Field Engineering Queries (FEQs) related to quantities, materials, or design clarifications, ensuring timely resolution in coordination with engineering and construction teams.
  • Support procurement by providing technical input on quantity and quality requirements in tender packages, if needed.
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Project Leads, Project Engineers,
  • Construction Coordinators, and Procurement Officers to ensure alignment between scopes, drawings, and deliverables.
  • Participate in regular project meetings and inspections, ensuring early identification and resolution of quality or quantity-related issues.
  • Assist with final project close-out documentation including as-built data and quality records.

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in Planner and/or quantity surveying roles in construction or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering drawings, standards, and codes.
  • Experience with project control tools, cost tracking, and inspection reporting systems.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and documentation skills.
  • Fluency in English is an advantage.
  • Ability to work efficiently within short timeframes and demonstrate strong time management skills.
  • Willingness to learn new things and contribute actively and positively to the team with a proactive attitude.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with diverse stakeholders.
  • Deliver work to plan, track task progress and resolve issues that block task completion, escalating where appropriate;
  • Capture and analyze business data to make timely decisions to deliver on business objectives;
  • Deploy available resources, considering their most effective and efficient use to achieve team priorities;
  • Take direct action for improving productivity for all tasks performed in line with standard work practices;
