About the job Fitter
Duties:
- Strip and Assembly any jobs that are repaired in the Service Centre or on-site
- Machine Maintenance
- Site duties
- Quality and hold point documents
- Inspection report
- Daily timesheet & Prestart meeting report
- Preliminaof inspection on portable and fixed equipment
- Safety required reports
- Ensure orders are checked for accuracy and integrity before dispatching to customers
- Check work orders and materials usage plan from daily work orders and ensure used correct
- materials from stock.
- Train new and being staff to ensure the that staff have the knowledge and ability to perform their
- roles.
- Willing to work reasonable amounts of overtime on both weekdays and weekends as required too
- service customer requirements.
- Assist supervisor/Service manager to issue service quotations and advise on assembly and inspection of matte
- Report absenteeism to workshop supervisor
- Actively promote a safe work environment and support the safe work system.
- Perform mechanical repair and refurbishment tasks as required to the highest quality standard
Requirements:
- Fitter or Machinist Trade Certificate
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical engineering
Previous pump and/or valve fitting experience
Excellent people skills
Desire to produce high-quality work within tight tolerances
Easy-going, friendly, self-reliant, and dependable with a positive attitude and a self-starter.
High-quality negotiation skills.
Ability to liaise with all levels within the company and external providers.
High-level communication skills, both written and oral.
Refined listening skills.
Problem-solving ability.
Attention to detail, and follow through to see projects and tasks to effective completion.
Self-motivated and able to demonstrate a high level of initiative in the role
