Summary: 

Reporting into the Financial controller, Mongolia, the Accountant is responsible for ensuring that financial practices align with statutory regulations and support the company's strategic objectives. Focus on statutory balance sheet and income statement. Focus on accounts payable, payments, inventory, monthly VAT reports, accruals, provisions, WHT certificates. Involve in monthly closing and group reporting. Add value through efficiency and reducing cost of Finance.

Contract length: 1 year

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily finance activities of Mongolia, including but not limited to accounts payable, vendor payment, treasury management, taxation, legal & compliance
  • Responsible for Reconciliation, Closing and Reporting activities, OneStream reporting and RCX preparation, reporting
  • Responsible for the VAT and WHT tax reporting and making sure the timely submission and payment.
  • Responsible for obtaining TRC and completion of DT-01 forms
  • Responsible for obtaining WHT tax certificates and translations, handing out to vendors
  • Liaise with external auditors
  • Support ongoing projects: ERP upgrade etc.,
  • Archiving
  • Handle any other ad hoc tasks assigned by manager

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Business/Accounting over 7 years practical experience in relevant roles and discipline
  • Ability to prioritize, meet tight deadlines and work under pressure, while remaining positive
  • Takes Initiative and is proactive
  • Advanced Excel skill
  • Advanced English
  • Experience working with external audit
  • Ability to build strong internal and external relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver in a fast paced, changing environment while maintaining high attention to detail
  • Experienced utilizing ERP database systems
  • Good organization skills
  • Strong multitasking and time management skills
  • Strong understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles
  • Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations
