Job Title: Project Coordinator
Contract Length: 12 months
Role Purpose:
The purpose of this role is to be responsible for the planning, execution, and closing of capital projects and accountable for accomplishing the stated project objectives, and manifest relationship with customers, vendors, and prime contractors by acting as the central point of contact within assigned projects, and by providing necessary direction to all parties; Create delivery group structures, project initiation documentation (project plans, product breakdown structures, and product flow diagrams) ensuring satisfactory project progress and appropriate consumption of project resources; Participate in outlining the products to be produced during workshops and ensure that members of the group work closely with other workshop participants.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Project Management
- Leads, plans and coordinates the study stages of capital projects, including the management of all technical, commercial, and license-to-operate areas. Accountable for the safe and successful delivery of the study and its business case under the guidance of the Study Lead.
- Works with the team to develop and implement Study and Project delivery scope, estimates, and plans in accordance with the business and regulatory guidelines.
- Collaborates with the team to develop and implement an effective stakeholder engagement plan through the life of the Study (project).
- Monitors and reports all relevant Study (project) and Project delivery performance indicators to meet business requirements.
- Identifies and escalates any Study (project) and Project delivery performance issues promptly.
- Provides suggestions to the team on improvements to Study (project) delivery methods.
- Oversees the planning and delivery of projects from initiation to completion, and focuses on achieving business, Study and/or project objectives through managing contracts, resources, budgets, changes, and risks.
- Provides project support services across a range of projects on a day-to-day basis.
- Provides timely and relevant updates to appropriate stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Compiles and analyses data for management reporting and metrics.
- Produces a range of management reports for projects.
- Supports appropriate project governance (including risk and issue management and resolution) and ensures it is maintained within projects.
- Supports compliance with standardized project processes, systems, and tools across projects.
- Coordinates engagement and performance of project vendors as required.
General Requirements:
- Project management qualification with an engineering background
- At least 5 years of relevant experience, or otherwise the significant practical experience and on-the-job training
- Training Project Management, Exposure to OT/RT Study, and Major project life cycle
- Diploma from a professional university with a technical background: one of engineering disciplines such as Civil, Mechanical, HVAC, or Electrical and Instrumentation.
- Exposure or worked in Engineering and construction projects in Mongolia
- Working experience in Electrical, Civil, HVAC, and mechanical projects in a remote location
