GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Employee shall be directly responsible to the Chief Accountant, Executive Director and other respective senior officers and will assist in the exploration of petroleum, and all that this entails. Accountant preparing and overseeing the preparation of financial statements, schedules, records, documents, reports, budgets and may supervise the work of others. Apart of the general duties specified in the Labor Code, the Employee shall have the following specific duties

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

1. Preparation of daily bank and cash transactions

2. Records of cash and non-cash transactions

3. Preparation of monthly bank reconciliation reports

4. Fuel card usage reports and calculations

5. Preparation of monthly cash call

6. Preparation of monthly actual expenditure report

7. Fixed asset register and depreciation calculation

8. Physical verifications of the companies fixed assets

9. Maintain records of receivables and payable accounts

10. Calculation of Unrealised/Realised foreign loss/gain for the account.

11. Preparations of Supporting statements (Trial balance, General ledger, Accrual list etc)

12. Preparation of the quarterly Exploration Expenditure Report to MRPAM

13. Preparation of Financial Statements together with the notes and online submission to the respective government agencies

14. Preparation and submission of tax reports to the tax office:

  • Non-Residents Value Added Tax Returns (TT-03b)
  • Withholding Tax (TT-12)
  • Corporate Income Tax (TT-02)
  • Other supporting tax reports if required.

15. Preparation of Extractive industries transparency initiative (EITI) report annually and online submission

16. Preparation of documents for Annual financial audit

17. Preparation of documents for Recoverable cost audit and liaise with MRPAM and National Audit representatives.

18. Preparation of documents for Tax audit and Social insurance audit (if any) and liaise with respective government personnel's.

19. Maintain close and regular review of expenditure receipts to ensure that the company complies strictly with Government requirements, conduct staff training sessions to ensure all staff are aware of the Company's strict adherence policy.

20. Drafting letters re financial issues

21. Other tasks as assigned.

Technical requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in accounting
  • Fluent in English/Mongolian languages
  • Efficient with standard Microsoft Office programs and accounting software
  • Work experience of 3-5 years.
