Contract length: 6 months

This role leads and oversees procurement planning, compliance, and contract management activities to ensure alignment with company policies and project objectives. It requires expertise in strategic sourcing, capital project procurement, and contract administration, while driving continuous improvement, best-value outcomes, and mentoring team members to support safety, compliance, and business performance.

Job responsibilities:

  • - Manage procurement and contract packages across study and execution phases.
  • - Review project documents and protect commercial interests.
  • - Coordinate with project teams to meet procurement milestones.
  • - Prepare and manage RFPs, evaluations, and contract awards.
  • - Draft and finalize contracts and special conditions.
  • - Manage contract variations, claims, invoicing, and commercial risks.
  • - Lead negotiations with contractors and suppliers.
  • - Ensure compliance with governance and financial authority requirements.
  • - Communicate with stakeholders throughout the procurement lifecycle.
  • - Monitor contractor performance and identify risks early.
  • - Support team coverage and mentor junior team members.

  • Requirements:

  • - 5+ years of procurement, contract management, and project delivery experience.
  • - Mining, engineering, resources, or capital project experience preferred.
  • - Strong procurement, contract administration, and commercial knowledge.
  • - Experience with RFPs, supplier evaluations, and contract awards.
  • - Skilled in claims, variations, invoicing, and commercial risk management.
  • - Understanding of governance, compliance, and financial controls.
  • - Strong planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • - Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • - Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under pressure.
  • - Commitment to health, safety, environmental, and community standards.
  • - Leadership, coaching, and mentoring experience.
  • - Collaborative mindset and ability to work across diverse teams.
  • - Good English communication skills preferred.
