JOB PURPOSE
- The purpose of this position is to administer compensation programs and may support with wage and salary administration. Collect internal and external data for preparation of analysis. May provide services in sales compensation and other specialized areas of compensation.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide payroll processing and pay slip on timely manner (2 times a month)
- Reconciles general ledger accounts as related to payroll, prepare journal entries as required.
- Prepare bank slips and update cost centers
- Daily Payroll maintenance. New starter set-up, Employee Masterfile changes, Allowance & Deduction updates, Superannuation Fund set-up & compliance checks.
- Ad hoc & standard Payroll reporting
- Preparation of Termination calculations & Payments
- Reconciliation of current Pay process to Payroll Detail, Costing, Salary Packaging & reports
- Processes all changes such as rates, exemptions, savings deductions, and job title and departmental/branch transfers.
- Payroll Queries
- Maintains employee assurance and protects payroll information:
- Provide letter of reference salary statement as requested by employees.
- Coordinate with HR Specialists each month prior to final pay day of the month verify salary and compensation is accurate up to date
- Work with HR team regarding payroll output coming from Workday on a daily basis
- Check regular reports from reporting output comparing Workday and Payroll investigating and correcting the discrepancies.
- Prepare data for compensation and benefits survey.
- Administer compensation in Payroll system including processing of the annual pay review, financial bonus, individual bonus, and Salary Plan updates
- Compiles, calculates, and enters data into payroll system.
- Calculates payroll liabilities for PIT and SHI reporting including sick leave pays and other deductions determined by law.
- Compiles summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and non-taxable wages.
- Remains current on all ongoing changes to payroll processing and relevant legislation
- Processes garnishments and employee receivables and ensure payments are accurate
- Obtaining, verifying, and recording employee benefit information
- Performs payroll filing and ensures all correspondence is secured.

General Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience
- Proficient in HRMS or similar Payroll system desirable.
- University degree in Finance, Accounting or in related field
- Very good knowledge of legislation and regulations of the field
- Fluent in English
