Contract Duration: 6 months

Responsibilities:

• Undertake third-party due diligence reviews in accordance with the Know Your Supplier Procedure, applicable standards and guidelines, under the direction of the Manager Risk, Compliance and Internal Audit. 
• Assist the Third-Party Due Diligence team by completing due diligence assessments and reports for Mongolian suppliers and other third parties, as requested.
• Gather, verify and analyse information from internal and external sources, including conducting additional research and requesting supporting documentation where required.
• Prepare risk-rated due diligence reports that identify key risks and recommend appropriate mitigation actions for review.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders and external parties, including contractors, service providers, suppliers and other business contacts, to obtain information required to support due diligence activities.
• Complete due diligence requests within agreed timeframes to support procurement and other business decision-making processes.
• Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on third-party due diligence requirements, processes and documentation in accordance with established procedures.
• Support the implementation and consistent application of governance, compliance and business integrity processes, policies, tools and training materials.
• Maintain accurate due diligence records and work closely with the Procurement team to ensure supplier information is current and appropriately recorded within relevant systems.
• Support the Manager Risk, Compliance and Internal Audit by undertaking assigned operational activities and contributing to the effective delivery of the Risk and Compliance team's objectives.
• Contribute to a culture of integrity, compliance and continuous improvement by promoting ethical behaviours and following Rio Tinto and Oyu Tolgoi standards and values.

Main Requirements:

• Undergraduate or equivalent or higher education obtained through degrees or diplomas from academic college or Universities. (Law, Commerce, business Administration or related Discipline)
• General knowledge of Mongolian Business Community and Mongolian Laws
• Experience typically achieved through graduate qualifications and at least 5 years of relevant experience in legal or regulatory compliance role.
