The objective of this position is to ensure the technical integrity, standardization, and consistency of drilling, well construction, completion and wellfield materials used in the company's mining operations.

The role is responsible for the development and maintenance of company-specific technical specifications, drawings and technical documentation, and for providing technical follow-up with the Supply Chain function to ensure materials supplied by vendors fully comply with approved standards and operational requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop, review and maintain company approved technical specifications for drilling, well construction, completion and wellfield materials.
  • Prepare, review and update technical drawings, material datasheets and related engineering documentation required for procurement and operations.
  • Ensure material compatibility and interface consistency between components supplied by different manufacturers.
  • Support the technical standardization of drilling and wellfield materials across drilling operations.
  • Provide technical support to the Supply Chain team during sourcing, vendor selection and purchasing processes.
  • Review and technically evaluate vendor technical offers, datasheet and compliance documents against company specifications and approved standards.
  • Ensure that all procured materials meet approved technical specifications prior to delivery and installation.
  • Identify material-related technical risks and recommend mitigation measures to prevent operational issues.
  • Perform other drilling and engineering-related duties as assigned by the Direct Manager.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in mining engineering, Geological engineering, Mechanical engineering, Chemical engineering or other relevant engineering disciplines
  • Additional training related to drilling, well construction, wellfield systems, materials engineering or quality assurance will be considered an advantage
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in drilling, wellfield construction or engineering roles within mining operations
  • Strong knowledge of drilling and wellfield material systems and their technical applications
  • Ability to develop, review and interpret technical specifications, drawings and engineering documentation
  • Understanding of material compatibility, interface management and quality requirements
  • Experience in development and application of technical specifications, engineering drawings and working with suppliers and technical documentation.
  • Experience in technical interaction with suppliers, manufacturers and Supply Chain, including technical evaluation of materials and follow-up on compliance.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Excellent computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, etc.)
  • Ability to work independently with clear ownership and accountability
  • Strong coordination skills when working with Operations, Engineering and Supply Chain
  • Structured, detail-oriented and quality-focused approach to work
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external vendors

  • On site in accordance with company rotation schedule
  • Roster 14/14 on/off
