Role purpose:
This role is expected to contribute to total team output through the completion of assigned tasks; the role may work with or without direct supervision but under close direction. Tasks are provided and assessed by senior team members and interactions are mainly with other teams, colleagues and contractors in other Departments. The Advisor Safety is responsible for assisting the business to deliver best in class health and safety performance.

Contract length: end of the year 2026.
Responsibilities:
- Actively engages and participates in operational prestart and other required meetings on regular basis to provide safety support and coaching to frontline leaders and actively shape the discussion on managing health and safety risks for that shift.
- Coordinates & participates in HSE internal and external audits, critical control verifications, risk assessments, workplace inspections, observations.
- Ensures compliance with statutory requirements, company policies & practices with regards to safety standards.
- Provides health and safety support to operation teams in their contractors onboarding and managing work process.
- Supports and coaches leaders in their field based activities such as SI, CRM, PTHA, HIP and spotlight work e.g. LiF.
- Builds capability for line leaders in incident, action management, investigation, critical learning and replication processes through training and coaching.
- Facilitates Level 2 risk assessments & coaches facilitation of Level 1 Risk analysis and builds capability for frontline leaders in hazard reporting, hazard identification and risk management process through training and coaching.
- Provides technical support in HSE committees and the work of the specific standard champions.
- Reviews new or existing projects, processes & procedures to ensure potential hazards and risks during planning, design, development, installation processes is considered and ensure continuous improvement and simplification.
- Other additional duties assigned by Safety superintendent and senior safety advisors.
- Provides technical support and feedback to assigned functional departments as required.
Requirements:
- A major in Science, Engineering, Health, Safety, Environment, or a relevant discipline, with an undergraduate degree or higher obtained through academic college or university degrees or diplomas.
- At least 5 years relevant experience, or otherwise the significant practical experience and on the job training.
- Knowledge of Mongolian Health & Safety regulations.
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
- Applies knowledge of the H&S risks in business operations & understanding of key H&S parameters & trends, to support H&S management programs/decision-making.
