Drilling Supervisor
About the job Drilling Supervisor
The Drilling Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all drilling operations, ensuring compliance with safety, technical, and operational standards. The role includes planning, coordinating, monitoring drilling activities, managing personnel, and maintaining accurate records of operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize and supervise drilling operations on site, ensuring efficient and safe execution
- Monitor drilling progress, evaluate performance, and provide guidance to drilling team members
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and operational standards
- Maintain accurate drilling logs, reports, and operational records
- Coordinate with other departments, contractors, and external stakeholders regarding drilling operations
- Inspect and maintain drilling equipment to ensure operational readiness
- Conduct on-site safety briefings and training for drilling personnel
- Report operational progress, incidents, and performance metrics to the Chief Engineer and Drilling Manager
- Reviewing and improving operational documentation, templates, and forms for efficiency
- Conduct site assessments and gather input from drilling personnel to ensure SOPs are practical, clear, and reflect field realities
- Develop, update, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all drilling activities, ensuring they comply with company policies, safety regulations, and industry best practices
- Perform other assignments as required by management.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Drilling, Mining, Engineering, Geology, or related field
- Experience in coordinating drilling teams, contractors, and site activities.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in drilling operations, supervision, or mining fieldwork
- Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and industry standards
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-cultural environment and manage diverse teams
- Excellent computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, etc.)
- Proficiency in both Mongolian and English languages
Position
- On-site in accordance with the company rotation schedule
- Roster 14/14 on/off

- Base salary
