Role Purpose:
- Reporting to the General Manager, Development, the Manager, Enterprise Projects is accountable for leading the Enterprise Projects function and the successful delivery of programs within its portfolio.The role provides leadership of the Enterprise Projects team, establishing clear accountability, maintaining delivery momentum and integrating delivery across the functions and stakeholders required to achieve complex enterprise outcomes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the Enterprise Projects function, team and portfolio, establishing clear priorities and accountability for delivery.
- Be accountable for successful delivery of Enterprise Projects programs and realisation of agreed outcomes and benefits.
- Translate strategic objectives into integrated, executable program plans with clear outcomes, milestones and accountabilities.
- Drive alignment and execution across functions, resolving cross-functional issues and dependencies.
- Establish and maintain effective program governance, decision rights, planning, reporting and escalation.
- Proactively manage material program risks, dependencies, decisions and emerging issues.
- Build strong relationships with senior leaders, functional owners and key internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain clear visibility of program performance and drive timely intervention where delivery is off-track.
- Define and maintain the organisation, roles and capabilities required to successfully deliver the Enterprise Projects portfolio.
- Lead, coach and develop the Enterprise Projects team, building sustainable program delivery capability.
- Assess, shape and mobilise new enterprise initiatives entering the portfolio. Continuously strengthen
- Enterprise Projects ways of working, applying lessons and leading practice across the portfolio.
General Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience. Ten or more years' of relevant experience in engineering, project/program management, strategy, organisational transformation or a related discipline
- Relevant program/project management, transformation or business qualification is desirable.
- Fluency in English. Strong program, project and transformation methodology capability.
- Experience applying different delivery approaches appropriate to the initiative.
- Experience in business case development and scoping of strategic initiatives.
At least 10 years' relevant experience, including:
- Significant experience leading complex, enterprise-scale programs or transformations.
- Strong senior stakeholder management and influencing capability.
- Demonstrated leadership of multidisciplinary teams across cross-functional or matrixed organisations.
- Strong ability to operate in complex, ambiguous and changing environments.
- Experience working with senior leaders, internal SMEs and external partners to develop and deliver strategic programs
