About the job Supply Chain Expert
Our Client, an international e-commerce company with a strong presence in the USA, Canada, and Europe, is looking for an experienced Supply Chain Expert for a full-time remote position.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing key supply chain processes across product management, procurement, inventory planning, freight, and fulfillment. You will work closely with manufacturers, 3PL providers, freight partners, and internal teams to ensure products are available at the right place and at the right time while maintaining healthy inventory levels and efficient cash flow.

Key Responsibilities
Product Library Management
- Maintain and continuously update the product library, ensuring accurate and up-to-date product, packaging, and logistics information.
- Manage product data across internal systems and ensure consistency between relevant platforms.
- Coordinate product setup and updates with internal teams, manufacturers, and logistics partners.
- Maintain accurate product specifications, dimensions, weights, case pack information, and other supply chain-related data.
Inventory Planning
- Monitor inventory levels across warehouses, 3PLs, and Amazon FBA.
- Develop and maintain inventory plans to ensure product availability while minimizing excess and obsolete stock.
- Identify potential stockouts, overstock situations, and inventory risks and proactively recommend solutions.
- Coordinate inventory allocation between locations based on demand, lead times, and business priorities.
- Optimize inventory levels taking into account supplier lead times, production schedules, transportation times, and sales forecasts.
Demand Planning & Budgeting
- Develop and maintain unit sales forecasts for products and markets.
- Translate demand forecasts into inventory and purchasing requirements.
- Prepare and maintain cash flow forecasts related to inventory purchases and supply chain activities.
- Support budgeting and financial planning for procurement, inventory, and logistics.
- Monitor forecast accuracy and adjust plans based on sales performance, seasonality, and business changes.
Purchase Order Management
- Create, manage, and track purchase orders throughout their entire lifecycle.
- Coordinate POs with manufacturers and suppliers, ensuring production and delivery timelines are met.
- Monitor production schedules, lead times, and expected delivery dates.
- Identify potential delays or supply risks and proactively communicate them to relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure PO data, quantities, costs, and delivery timelines are accurate and up to date.
FBA Shipments & Fulfillment
- Plan and coordinate shipments to Amazon FBA based on inventory requirements and demand forecasts.
- Prepare and manage FBA shipment processes and related documentation.
- Coordinate shipments between manufacturers, freight providers, 3PLs, and Amazon.
- Monitor shipment progress and proactively resolve delays or discrepancies.
- Ensure timely replenishment of Amazon inventory while avoiding unnecessary storage and transportation costs.
Freight & Logistics Management
- Coordinate international and domestic freight from manufacturers to 3PLs, Amazon, and other destinations.
- Communicate with freight forwarders, carriers, 3PL providers, and manufacturers to coordinate shipments.
- Compare and evaluate freight options based on cost, lead time, and service level.
- Track shipments from pickup through final delivery and ensure deadlines are met.
- Identify opportunities to optimize transportation costs, routes, and shipment consolidation.
- Resolve logistics issues, delays, discrepancies, and delivery-related problems.
3PL & Manufacturer Management
- Maintain effective day-to-day communication with manufacturers and 3PL partners.
- Coordinate production, inventory, receiving, storage, and outbound fulfillment activities.
- Monitor 3PL performance and ensure agreed service levels are maintained.
- Ensure manufacturers and logistics partners have accurate and timely information regarding orders, shipments, and inventory requirements.
- Build strong long-term relationships with key supply chain partners.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in supply chain, logistics, procurement, inventory planning, or a related field.
- Experience in eCommerce, preferably within an Amazon/FBA or DTC environment.
- Hands-on experience with inventory planning, demand forecasting, and purchase order management.
- Experience working with manufacturers, freight forwarders, and 3PL providers.
- Understanding of international and domestic freight processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with sales forecasts, inventory budgets, and cash flow planning.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple products, suppliers, shipments, and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills in written and spoken English.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership, and make decisions with minimal supervision.
- High attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and solving supply chain issues.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.
