Our client, a rapidly growing Amazon FBM (Fulfilled by Merchant) business sourcing a wide range of products from China, is looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented Inventory Manager to support the companys focus on fast fulfillment, operational efficiency, and data-driven decision-making. In this role, they will be responsible for overseeing all inventory operations, from procurement and inbound logistics to spare parts control and returns processing. A major part of the position involves building and maintaining advanced data systems and dashboards in Google Sheets, ensuring accurate stock visibility and operational efficiency across all channels.

Key responsibilities:

Inventory & Stock Control

  • Maintain accurate and real-time stock levels for all SKUs across Amazon FBM channels and internal databases.
  • Develop and maintain Google Sheets dashboards to track inventory, shipments, returns, and reorder points.
  • Monitor spare parts inventory, ensuring correct allocation and timely replenishment.
  • Forecast inventory needs based on sales trends and product lifecycle data.
  • Prevent stockouts and overstock through precise data-driven planning.

Procurement & Supplier Coordination

  • Coordinate purchase orders and shipping schedules with suppliers in China.
  • Track inbound shipments and lead times using structured data sheets.
  • Follow up with suppliers and freight forwarders on delays, discrepancies, or quality issues.
  • Support cost analysis and order optimization using spreadsheet models.

Returns & Reverse Logistics

  • Manage returns and spare parts processing, including inspection, refurbishment, restocking, or disposal.
  • Update stock and status in Google Sheets and inventory systems in real time.
  • Optimize workflows for handling returned goods efficiently.

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Build automated reports in Google Sheets with formulas, pivot tables, charts, and scripts (e.g., Apps Script or integrations).
  • Track KPIs such as stock accuracy, turnover rates, aging inventory, and reorder performance.
  • Identify inefficiencies and propose data-backed improvements.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide clear inventory visibility and forecasts.

Process & System Optimization

  • Integrate data between Google Sheets, Amazon Seller Central, and warehouse systems.
  • Standardize inventory tracking templates and ensure all team members follow consistent data procedures.
  • Support automation initiatives to reduce manual work.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Inventory Manager, Supply Chain Manager, or similar role in Amazon FBM and FBA.
  • Expert-level Google Sheets skills: Data visualization and reporting
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience managing spare parts, returns, or similar technical products.
  • Familiarity with Amazon Seller Central and FBM workflows.
  • Experience working with Chinese suppliers and freight forwarders.
  • Excellent English communication skills.
  • Experience integrating Google Sheets with other tools (e.g., Zapier, APIs, or ERP systems).
  • Knowledge of 3PL operations and warehouse management.
  • Understanding of international shipping and import processes
  • Strong process mindset and ability to build SOPs.
