Job Summary and Qualifications
The Director of Labor and Delivery assumes the role as a leader in planning, directing and managing the L&D unit and Staff to assure quality services on a 24-hour basis. Is responsible for staff performance and accomplishment of department responsibilities in accord with corporate, hospital, departmental and safety policies and procedures, to meet both company and regulatory requirements. Responsible for providing high quality patient care and acts as a liaison for patients and their representative. Promotes team work with physicians and all health care providers, for promoting internal and external customer satisfaction and for appropriate resource management. The Director is also responsible for the efficient operation of the department while optimizing resources to maximize productivity and minimize both indirect and direct cost.

What qualifications you will need:

Current Texas license as Registered Nurse or Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Texas State Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions)
Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
