Role Overview

The Solutions Delivery Manager is a pivotal role responsible for the successful, end-to-end delivery of technical solutions and projects from conception to completion. This role requires a blend of strong leadership, technical acumen, and excellent communication skills.

The Solutions Delivery Manager will lead cross-functional teams, manage project lifecycles, and act as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders, technical teams, and clients. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to execution, ensuring solutions are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project and Program Management:
    Lead the planning, execution, and final delivery of complex projects and solution implementations. Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.

  • Team Leadership and Management:
    Motivate, mentor, and manage a diverse team of technical professionals, including developers, business analysts, and quality assurance specialists. Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture.

  • Stakeholder Communication:
    Serve as the main point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders, ensuring clear, transparent, and consistent communication regarding project status, risks, and dependencies. Manage stakeholder expectations and address concerns promptly.

  • Risk and Issue Management:
    Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues. Develop contingency plans and escalate critical problems to leadership as needed to prevent project disruption.

  • Process Improvement:
    Continuously evaluate and optimize project delivery methodologies, processes, and tools (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) to enhance efficiency, scalability, and quality.

  • Technical and Solution Oversight:
    Maintain a deep understanding of the technical solution being delivered, providing strategic guidance and ensuring the solution aligns with business goals and technical standards.

  • Budget and Financial Management:
    Oversee project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure financial forecasts are accurate and adhered to.

Qualifications and Skills

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in project management or a similar delivery-focused role, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex technical solutions.

  • Experience managing and leading cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).

  • Proficiency with project management tools such as Jira, Trello, or Asana.

  • In-depth knowledge of software development lifecycles (SDLC) and modern DevOps practices.

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and infrastructure-as-code concepts.

  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.

  • Understanding of API development, microservices, and system integrations.

  • Knowledge of database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL) and data architecture principles.
