FIELD DTP OPERATOR

ROLE OVERVIEW
We are seeking an experienced Field DTP Operator to produce accurate, visually appealing and technically print-ready artwork in line with client briefs, brand specifications and production requirements.
The successful candidate will have strong DTP, layout and retail leaflet experience, together with a sound understanding of the printing industry. This role requires excellent attention to detail, the ability to identify potential print and production issues, and the ability to work efficiently within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Produce accurate, high-quality artwork in accordance with client briefs and specifications.
- Prepare artwork to ensure files are technically correct and print-ready.
- Maintain a high standard of brand consistency and integrity across all artwork.
- Produce and supply proofs within agreed turnaround times.
- Interpret and action client and management requests accurately and efficiently.
- Analyse artwork and identify potential technical or print-production issues before final output.
- Communicate potential print problems to the relevant technical or repro team.
- Ensure artwork meets required quality and production standards.
- Maintain excellent customer service and respond professionally to client requirements.
- Manage deadlines effectively while maintaining accuracy and quality.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Desktop Publishing (DTP) or a related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years' relevant experience in DTP design and/or layout.
- Sound knowledge and understanding of the printing industry.
- Retail leaflet layout experience.
- Experience working on the Apple Mac platform.
- Strong working knowledge of relevant DTP software packages.
