Required Qualifications
- Licensed or eligible for license in Kentucky
- Basic Life Support (BLS) is accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Associate degree from an accredited college or University
- Educational, certification and/or licensure requirements; BLS, ACLS, and ADN or BSN
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or University
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or University
- Two years of Cardiovascular Laboratory experience or two years of critical care experience, preferably ICU
- Cath Lab/EP monitoring, critical lab background preferred.
Job Description
- Reporting structure; New hire > Charge > Shift Coordinator > Manager > Director
- Work hours and on-call hours required; Cath 7p-7a or 7a-7p, EP: 7p-7a or 7a-7p but stay late on most days dependent on patient flow with Stay Pay allocation post 30 minutes.
- On call: Cath Lab 6:30p-7a weekdays and weekends 7a Saturday-7a Monday
- No On call of EP: you stay late to finish cases.
- The number of beds in unit/unit size; Bays: 21 in pre/post-op, 6 Cath lab procedure rooms, and 3 EP procedure rooms. It takes up an entire floor in the Heart Hospital.
- Clinician/patient ratio; 2:1
- The average number of patients cared for daily in the unit; an average of 30 cases per day
- Types of diagnoses and patients cared for in the unit; STEMI, NSTEMI, Ablations, Pacemakers, TAVR, TMVR, Structural Heart Procedures, Watchman, Mitra Clips, PCI, Impella, Right and Left Heart Catheterizations
- Orientation: 8-16 weeks dependent on experience level.
Salary and shift differential pay; $29-$43.50/8.00 per hour call pay
