Job Summary and Qualifications
Knowledge of patient responses, side effects and proper dosages of medications used in respiratory care. Able to communicate effectively with Physicians, patients, managers and the publics. Ability to teach/instruct, assess and reassess others. Able to recognize and report abuse and neglect in patients. Knowledge of generally accepted practices in respiratory care as prescribed by the physician. Delivers, set-up, and maintains routine and non-routine therapies and equipment (i.e., oxygen, aerosol therapy, ventilators) utilized by Respiratory Therapy. Ability to perform and interpret Arterial Blood Gases.
Experience Requirements:
- 1yr min Acute care setting exp required (ICU, CVICU, NICU, PICU, Critical care unit)
Certification/Licensure Requirements:
- FL State Respiratory License
- NBRC RRT/CRT
- Basic Cardiac Life Support(BLS)
- ACLS- Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- NRP - Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- PALS - Pediatric Adv Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
Experience Requirements:
- 1yr min Acute care setting exp required (ICU, CVICU, NICU, PICU, Critical care unit)
- Shifts: Nights (6:30p-7a) with every other weekend rotation;
- FYI - days shift is about a 2yr wait list w current staff
Salary range: 1yr: $24.93, 2-3yr: $27.17, 4-5yr: $28.30, 6-7yr: $29.42, 9-10yr: $30.54, Cap $33.59
