Job Title: Director of Women's Services

Work Arrangement: Onsite

Salary: $75,000 to $90,000

Position Summary:

The Director of Women's Services provides leadership and direction for all activities and resources within the Women's Services department in a healthcare environment. This role is responsible for ensuring the department's objectives are achieved effectively and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning and Implementation: Develop, implement, and monitor departmental goals, plans, and standards that are consistent with the organization's clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical standards.
  • Operational Management: Oversee day-to-day department operations, including patient care delivery, information technology utilization, service level decision-making, and complaint resolution, to maintain high performance and quality.
  • Staff Leadership and Development: Manage all aspects of staffing, including recruitment, hiring, onboarding, training, performance evaluation, and disciplinary actions. Foster ongoing staff education and professional development.
  • Financial Oversight: Manage departmental budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and compliance with financial guidelines.
  • Auditing and Compliance: Coordinate and supervise internal and external audits to ensure adherence to regulations and organizational policies.
  • Professional Development and Best Practices: Promote a supportive environment for professional growth and integrate evidence-based practices into departmental procedures and protocols.
  • Clinical Resource: Serve as a knowledgeable resource for staff on matters related to obstetrics and neonatal care.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree (Required)
  • Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)

Essential Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong critical thinking and sound judgment, with the capacity for independent work.
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure and in stressful situations.
  • Required Certifications:
    • Basic Life Support (BLS)
    • Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP)
    • AWHONN Membership

Licenses:

  • Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Kentucky.
