SHIFT: DAYS 8A-5P MONDAY-FRIDAY (SUNDAYS 1 TO 2 HRS. TO PLACE ORDERS)
REQUIREMENTS:
- Certification and Licensure as a Pharmacy Technician
- Registered with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy
- Five (5) years experience in a healthcare setting
- Three (3) to five (5 )years purchasing experience may be substituted in lieu of formal training or education
- Pharmacy Technician License.
- Must have valid Texas driver's license
- Ability to communicate in English verbally and in writing, Computer literate
- Excellent communication and analytical skills
PREFERRED:
- L-TX-Pharmacy Tech
- BLS (AHA), C-PTCB Pharmacy Tech CPhT
- Two (2) year degree is preferred, but not required
- College coursework with emphasis in business or accounting related courses is highly desirable
- Knowledge of medical/surgical supplies and equipment is highly desirable
Position's Purpose and Essential Functions:
- Responsible for coordinating the ordering of necessary pharmaceuticals, supplies, materials, equipment and services required for Pharmacy and various departments of Laredo Medical Center. Ensures hospital values and quality customer service are reflected in all aspects of departmental operations.
