About the job RN Med Surg
The Registered Nurse is responsible for the observation, assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care; health teaching and counseling of the ill, injured, or infirm; and the promotion of wellness, maintenance of health, and prevention of illness of others. Administers medications and treatments as prescribed or authorized by a duly licensed practitioner authorized by the laws of this state to prescribe such medications and treatments.
Qualifications:
- Must have RECENT (WITHIN THE LAST YEAR OR TWO) ACUTE CARE MED-SURG EXPERIENCE. * Would be Open to PCU/CVICU/ICU acute experience.
- Nursing Diploma or ASN; BSN preferred.
- Previous experience in an acute care setting
- Current Florida State Registered Nurse license. Current FL RN license required or appropriate compact licensure.
- Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Lifting 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
- Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills.
Additional Information:
- 50-bed Med/Surg Oncology, Ortho, Trauma, Psychiatric.
- Unit Beds/ rooms: Med Surg Unit-2 West 50 Beds 1 RN :5,6 pt. ratio; PCT- 1:10-13 Med Surg, Oncology (10% patients-chemo cert provided at no cost if want to), Ortho, 40 % of patients are trauma straight from ER or ICU, Pneumonia, some Baker Act Psych patients sent out to South Seminole Hospital or other psych Facilities. Wed busiest days.
- Salary range:$29.00 (2yr)- $32.70(5 yr)- $36.81(10yr) $42.13 (17yr MAX)
- Sign-on bonus available to eligible candidates up to $10,000 (NIGHTS ONLY)
- Relocation: CASE By CASE
- Shift Diffs: $4.50 (Nights) and $1.50 (Weekends)
