Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for setting up systematizing activities planning with contracts, export documentation, and handling communication with government authorities, shipping lines and vendors.
  • Responsible for advanced planning of logistics providers' capacity and volume to forecast safe & on-time shipping;
  • Organize air and ocean shipments from the point of origin to the final destination;
  • Ensure all policies and procedures are constantly administered and in charge of the company's import permit and export license processes;
  • Prepare export documents working with forwarders and other vendors;
  • Categorize shipments according to a tariff coding system to monitor the process with the shipping agent & forwarding agent for clearance;
  • Maintain records of goods ordered and received in the purchasing system and adhere to customs rules and regulations;
  • Effective communication with customers and vendors through e-mails, phone calls and verbal contact, to facilitate shipments crossing international borders;
  • Serve as liaison with custom brokers and other external partners to resolve clearance and other issues.
  • Review documents required for export to make sure goods can be exported on time and with the required quantity and quality;
  • Back up to Compliance/Traffic/Procurement positions as needed;
  • Actively participate and support the process within the work area daily and keep senior management informed of all transaction problems or irregularities;
  • Resolve vendor or contractor grievances, and claims against suppliers;
  • Other tasks assigned by your immediate supervisor.

Requirements

Academic qualification

  • BA in procurement, logistics or related fields;

Years of experience:

  • 3+ years of practical experience in a similar position

Additional qualifications and skill

  • Excellent understanding of information systems technology;
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Must be able to multi-task;
  • Good understanding of sales and marketing strategies
  • Well-developed communicational skills and a customer orientation
  • Ability to easily understand and organize shipment processes

Salary: As per the Company Scale
