Were seeking an experienced Advertising Specialist to join our client in the dynamic consumer goods sector. As a key player, youll execute promotional campaigns across various platforms, analyse results, and contribute to the overall marketing strategy.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Campaign Execution: Execute promotional campaigns (ATL, DM, PR, BTL, Digital) within budget and timeline.
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to refining our marketing process, from promotional grids to post-campaign analysis.
  • Data Analysis: Compile, analyse, and interpret post-campaign data to inform future strategies.
  • Marketing Initiatives: Support competitions, budgets, engagement initiatives, store openings, and innovations.
  • Management: Manage expenses, build strong relationships with stakeholders, and ensure team effectiveness.

What Youll Bring:

  • Experience: Minimum 3 years in marketing, advertising, or agency settings.
  • Creativity & Innovation: Demonstrate creative thinking and a passion for marketing.
  • Platform Expertise: Understand ATL, BTL, Digital platforms, PR, Direct Marketing, and Paid Media.
  • Influence & Relationships: Persuade stakeholders and build strong relationships.
  • Analytical Skills: Knowledge of budget reporting, ability to evaluate research and data.
  • Execution & Problem-Solving: Deliver under pressure, solve problems, and manage campaign shoots and events.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills at all levels.
  • Retail Experience: Understanding of the retail landscape is a plus.
  • Qualifications: A Degree/National Diploma in marketing/advertising or equivalent.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Media Terminology: Understand media terminology and its implications.
  • Marketing Fundamentals: Solid marketing background and understanding.
  • Communication & Organization: Excellent verbal communication, organizational, and administrative skills.
  • Commercial Awareness: Understand the business and market dynamics.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • People Skills: Interpersonal, team management, and leadership abilities.
  • Analytical Skills: Evaluate research, market conditions, and implement plan adjustments.

Location: Successful incumbent will primarily be based in Cape Town (Northern Suburbs)
