Position Overview:

We're looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Coordinator to support financial operations, reporting, and accounts payable functions. This contractor role requires a sharp eye for accuracy, strong organizational skills, and familiarity with common finance platforms. The ideal candidate will ensure timely seller/vendor payments, support tax prep processes, and help maintain a clear financial picture through consistent reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure sellers are paid promptly and understand payout processes and timelines.
  • Manage short-term A/P challenges and liaise with vendors.
  • Maintain clean and up-to-date financial records in QuickBooks and Google Sheets.
  • Prepare profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and other financial reports.
  • Support the corporate CPA with tax and period-end preparation.
  • Communicate with stakeholders regarding outstanding A/P issues when needed.
  • Track and reconcile transactions, update dashboards, and manage vendor invoicing.
  • Attend internal finance meetings to coordinate payouts and cash flow planning.
  • Assist with Avalara for tax filings and review tax rates on transactions.
  • Provide light operational support related to seller onboarding and account processes as needed.


Qualifications:

  • Proven small to mid-size company experience in finance, accounting, or a related field, with a focus on accounts payable, financial reporting, and tax processes.
  • 3+ years of experience managing financial operations in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficient in Google Sheets and QuickBooks.
  • Comfortable managing AP/AR, P&L reports, and supporting tax workflows.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with internal teams and external vendors.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, remote environment.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and compliance.
  • Familiarity with cashflow forecasting, tax rates, and seller/vendor management.
  • Professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive financial data.


Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience with Avalara for sales tax filing.
  • Familiarity with HubSpot for task tracking and CRM.
  • Prior exposure to Airwallex or similar global payment systems.
  • Experience supporting sales teams or providing basic customer communication.
  • Comfort with evolving systems, tools, and process changes.
