Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented GIS Analyst to join our team. This role involves leveraging advanced GIS tools, analyzing title research, and integrating survey data for energy projects. You will work with a collaborative team to maintain accurate GIS databases and provide actionable insights for project success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement GIS solutions, creating detailed maps and integrating tax parcel records with survey data.
- Manage and maintain GIS databases, ensuring the accuracy and security of sensitive information.
- Review legal documents, such as property descriptions and title documents, to define boundaries.
- Utilize ArcGIS Online and related applications to produce reports and visualizations.
- Support analysis of property leases, including determining Held By Production (HBP) status through historical maps and records.
Mandatory Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in GIS, Geography, or a related field (strongly preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of GIS experience, particularly in energy or land services contexts.
- Advanced proficiency in ESRI ArcGIS Suite and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience in energy-related fields, such as solar or oil and gas.
- Familiarity with property law and relevant documentation.
- Programming skills in SQL, Python, or Java for data manipulation and analysis.
