Company Overview:

Sagan is an exclusive membership community for top executives, founders, and CEOs seeking to hire and maximize the impact of international talent. We bridge the gap between global talent and US-based businesses, connecting candidates from vibrant regions like Latin America, the Philippines, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Africa with leading American companies. Sagan provides a high-performance remote work environment, ensuring access to world-class opportunities for top-tier professionals.

About the Company:

Sagan represents a 30-year-old U.S.-based architectural millwork and cabinetry firm serving hospitals, schools, financial institutions, and other commercial clients. Under new ownership since early 2025, the company combines traditional craftsmanship with a modern, process-driven front office and CNC-enabled production environment.

Position Overview:

We're seeking a production-focused drafter with deep expertise in casework and millwork to lead the drafting cycle, from architectural submittals to CNC-ready files in a high-mix, low-volume commercial setting. This is a confidential replacement role requiring maturity, autonomy, and a collaborative mindset. You'll be expected to manage 2-3 full drawing packages per week, spanning submittals, production files, material takeoffs, and CNC routing data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce submittal and shop drawings (plan, elevation, isometric, section) aligned with the architect specs and internal standards.
  • Convert approved drawings into CNC routing files (G-code) for shop routers.
  • Generate accurate material take-offs and log requirements in Monday.com.
  • Maintain strict version control and manage redlines efficiently.
  • Collaborate with estimators and project managers to clarify project scope and sequencing.
  • Uphold visual consistency, technical precision, and brand standards across all output.
  • Ensure deliverables are completed quickly, accurately, and to production-ready standards across multiple concurrent projects.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience specifically in architectural casework, millwork, or cabinetry drafting.
  • Demonstrated ability to create submittal drawings, organize production documentation, produce CNC routing files, and execute accurate takeoffs.
  • Mastery of at least one modern CAD/CAM drafting platform: MicroVellum, Cabinet Vision, Mozaik, or CabBuilder.
  • Experience working at production speed with these tools is essential; general CAD tools like AutoCAD or SketchUp are insufficient for this role.
  • Strong written English skills and high attention to detail.
  • Calm under pressure, highly reliable, and collaborative in a fast-paced setting.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Familiarity with U.S. commercial construction standards and architectural submittal processes.
  • Experience automating take-offs or CNC file generation.
  • Proficiency in Monday.com, Dropbox, and cloud-based document management.
