Senior Database Engineer/Administrator

We are looking to expand our team by adding a talented and driven Senior Database Engineer/Administrator (hybrid) with advanced expertise in MS SQL Server 18.12.1 to oversee, optimize, and strategically enhance the databases supporting our client's niche agriculture industry ERP system. The ideal candidate will demonstrate advanced proficiency in both database engineering and administration, ensuring optimal performance, security, and innovative data solutions at a high level.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and optimize MS SQL Server 18.12.1 databases for a niche agriculture ERP system.

• Design robust database solutions and enforce strict security protocols.

• Perform complex SQL query optimizations and system performance assessments.

• Develop comprehensive database management procedures, including disaster recovery plans.

• Collaborate with senior IT leadership to enhance data architecture and system functionalities.

• Provide guidance to technical staff and vendors.

Qualifications:

• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.

• 5-7 years’ experience in database administration and development with a focus on MS SQL Server 18.12.1.

• Proven experience in managing ERP systems, preferably in the agriculture industry.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.

• Excellent leadership and communication abilities.

Location: hybrid with 3 days onsite in Valencia, CA
