Title: Scala Developer

Location: NYC, Hybrid

Type: 12-months Contract

Role: We have financial domain client based in New York City with immediate Scala Developer position opening. This role requires 3 days onsite and local candidate (or nearby) will be required as an in-person interview is mandatory.

Note: 50% Scala and 50% Java experience is required.

Responsibilities:

1. Extensive experience with Scala programming
2. Strong commercial core Java programming experience
3. Experience of working with a functional programming language
4. Fundamental knowledge of Microservices
5. Experience with Big Data Hadoop, Spark, etc.
6. Good exposure to middleware- MQ, Kafka
7. Experience of working in a Linux environment
8. Experience with Redis
9. Understanding of distributed system design and infrastructure
