Our client is currently looking to recruit for a Third in Charge on a full-time, permanent basis. If you have a full Level 3 in Childcare, we would love to hear from you!
You will be responsible in assisting and supporting the day-to-day running and management of the setting. In addition to this, you will have limited responsibility for some overall day-to-day duties. You will be ensuring all children attending the setting are receiving the highest quality care and that they are kept safe throughout their time at the nursery.

Your responsibilities will include:
- To support Room Leaders in the implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stage
- To support in ensuring that all legislation in relation to registration with regulatory bodies, special needs, child protection and Health and Safety is complied with
- Ensure policies and procedures are adhered to
- Promote and facilitate partnership with parents/carers and other family members
- Assume deputy responsibilities in the absence of the Deputy Manager if required
- Provide high standards of quality within the nursery
- Support the development of good practice with regards to special needs and inclusion
- Be fully aware of emergency and security procedures relating to the nursery
- Take full responsibility for opening/closing the nursery as required
- Work with the manager to fully understand and be able to support staff during Ofsted inspections and assist in the implementation of any recommendations
- Work alongside the Manager learning how to monitor and control budgets and maintaining cash systems and in assessing interaction and child facing skills during the recruitment process
- Support with induction procedure for all new staff, and ongoing supervisions and appraisals
Requirements of this Role:
- Level 3 in Childcare or above
- A passion to upskill further
- Minimum of 2 years previous Room Leader experience
- A positive role model to your team
- Excellent knowledge of the EYFS
- Extensive knowledge of Safeguarding
