We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client who are seeking to recruit a Nursery Deputy Manager for an ASAP start. You will be responsible for assisting the Nursery Manager in the smooth running of the setting on a day-to-day basis. This position will require you to cover the Nursery Managers duties in their absence and will also require some time spent in the rooms, where needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure that all nursery staff offer all children equal opportunities
• Ensure that the opening and closing of the nursery is running correctly
• Ensure that the children are signed in and out correctly
• Ensure that nursery staff are following procedures
• Ensure confidentiality is maintained, where appropriate
• Work with the Nursery Manager to maintain administrative records
• Support and liaise with the Nursery Manager to ensure the smooth running of the nursery
• Attend management and staff meetings
• Work with children, parents, external agencies and the community to ensure the welfare and safety of children
• Any other duties appropriate to the post

Requirements for this Role:

• Level 3 or above in Childcare
• 2+ years previous experience as Room Leader or above

Desirables for this Role:

• Sound knowledge of EYFS (training provided)
• Sound knowledge of Safeguarding (training provided)
• DSL trained
