We are proud to be working on behalf of our client in St Albans who are currently recruiting for a Nursery Practitioner. Please note that to be considered for this role, candidates must have a minimum of Level 2 in Childcare. This employer also has vacancies available for Level 3 qualified candidates. The successful candidate will be joining a well-established and well-known nursery with the potential for future career progression.

The nursery has children from 3 months to 5 years and the setting itself is ideally located. They are open 7:00am - 6:30pm, Monday to Friday, 51 weeks per year with a 1 week Christmas closure.

Our client is offering a starting salary of £21,700 per annum and may be higher dependant on qualifications and experience. Your responsibilities as a Nursery Practitioner will include:

• Create fun and engage activities
• Action and monitor all child safeguarding/protection issues/accidents
• To be responsible for your select number of children
• To work in partnership with parents and carers
• Grow bonds with the children
• To observe, plan and evaluate appropriately for children's development
• Track the development of your key children
• To be aware of and comply with all policies and procedures
• Maintain the safety and security of all children
• Assist with the routines in your room
• To undertake any other duties and responsibilities of an equivalent nature from time to time

Requirements of the Nursery Practitioner Role:

• Minimum of Level 2 in Childcare
• Previous childcare experience
