We are proud to be working on behalf of our client in St Albans who are currently recruiting for a Nursery Practitioner. Please note that to be considered for this role, candidates must have a minimum of Level 2 in Childcare. The successful candidate will be joining a well-established and well-known nursery with the potential for future career progression.

Our client truly care and value their staff, therefore to make the day-to-day less stressful, they operate their rooms above the legal ratio requirement. This means there will be more staff to assist and therefore making your days much easier and stress-free!

The nursery has children from 3 months to 5 years and the setting itself is ideally located, being only approximately a 10 minute walk from near-by transport links. They are open 8:00am - 6:00pm, Monday to Friday, 51 weeks per year with a 1 week Christmas closure. The setting has a large outdoor area that has recently been renovated and they have ambitious growth plans with the intention to open more nurseries in the future, this therefore means there is the potential for future career progression/promotions!

In order to attract and retain the best talent within the industry, our client is offering a very competitive salary, starting at £21,700 per annum for a Level 2 qualified candidate, dependant on experience. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Plan, prepare and participate in a range of activities in line with the EYFS
  • Action and monitor all child safeguarding/protection issues/accidents
  • Be a key worker for a group of children
  • To work in partnership with parents and carers
  • To ensure displays are changed regularly
  • To observe, plan and evaluate appropriately for children's development
  • To be aware of and comply with all policies and procedures
  • Maintain the safety and security of all children
  • Ensuring that you attend to the all-round daily needs of the children
  • To undertake any other duties and responsibilities of an equivalent nature from time to time

Requirements of this Role:

  • Minimum of Level 2 in Childcare
  • Minimum of 6 months previous Childcare experience
