We are proud to be recruiting on behalf of our client in London who are currently recruiting for a Deputy Nursery Manager / Third in Charge with a minimum of 2 years previous experience as a Room Leader or above.

If you have a Level 3 or above in Childcare, a minimum of 2 years previous experience as a Room Leader or above and the eagerness to progress to a Deputy Nursery Manager role or continue your role as Deputy Nursery Manager in a new environment and setting, this could be the perfect role for you, keep reading!

As a Deputy Nursery Manager, you will be working under the direction of the Nursery Manager. In the absence of the Nursery Manager, the successful candidate will be required to take on their duties until their return. You will support the aims and objectives of the nursery and assist the Nursery Manager in the organisation of a high-quality establishment for children from 3 months to 5 years.

The nursery is open from 7:30am - 6:30pm, this role is a full-time, 40 hours per week role. The successful candidate will be assisting in running a nursery that has been open for nearly 20 years therefore you will be joining and leading a well established and friendly setting.

Your responsibilities as a Deputy Nursery Manager / Third in Charge will include:

• To assist with the implementation of administrative procedures
• To assist with the development and implementation of systems
• To assist with the preparation and maintenance of materials and equipment
• To be responsible for the Health & Safety standards
• To assist the Nursery Manager in the supervision of training of students
• To cover rooms/shifts as required

Requirements of this Deputy Nursery Manager / Third in Charge Role:

• Level 3 in Childcare or above
• Minimum 2 years previous experience as a Room Leader or above
• A passion and commitment for a long-term career in Childcare
