We are proud to be recruiting on behalf of our client in London who are currently recruiting for a Nursery Manager with a minimum of 2 years previous experience as a Nursery Deputy Manager or above.

If you have a Level 3 or above in Childcare, a minimum of 2 years previous experience as a Nursery Deputy Manager or above and the eagerness to progress to a Nursery Manager role or continue your role as Nursery Manager in a new environment and setting, this could be the perfect role for you, keep reading!

As a Nursery Manager, you will be responsible for the daily running of the setting and ensuring all aspects of the nursery is running as they should. You will be the first port of call for both staff and prospective families so sound knowledge in the essential Childcare topics such as Safeguarding, First Aid, Health & Safety, Food Hygiene etc is a must.

You will also be responsible for ensuring the setting is run to the high expectations set out by the Leadership Team and Ofsted to ensure that the setting is continually ready for their next Ofsted inspection. The nursery received an overall Grade 'Good' during their latest inspection and they are continually working to maintain and improve this grade during their next inspection. The nursery is open from 7:30am - 6:30pm, this role is a full-time, 40 hours per week role. The setting has children between the ages of 3 months - 5 years. The successful candidate will be running a nursery that has been running for nearly 20 years therefore you will be joining and leading a well established and friendly setting.

Your responsibilities as a Nursery Manager will include:

  • Provide effective management to the staff team
  • To be responsible for staff training and recruitment
  • To ensure the setting is operating to the highest standards
  • To continually ensure the setting is prepared for an Ofsted inspection
  • Ensure policies and procedures are up-to-date
  • Promote the nursery to prospective families and answer any questions
  • To complete administrative duties
  • To cover in the room when needed

Requirements of this Nursery Manager Role:

  • Level 3 in Childcare or above
  • Minimum 2 years previous experience as a Nursery Deputy Manager or above
  • A passion and commitment for a long-term career in Childcare
  • Sound knowledge in the essential Childcare topics
