We are proud to be working on behalf of our client in Slough who are currently recruiting for a Nursery Manager. This position is offering a very competitive salary of £35,000 per annum and great company benefits. To be considered for this role, candidates must have a minimum of Level 3 in Childcare and 4+ years experience as a Deputy Manager or above.

They offer high quality education and care to children aged 3 months - 5 years and are open from 7:30am - 6:00pm, Monday to Friday.

During their latest Ofsted inspection, they achieved an overall grade 'Good' and received some great feedback regarding the support that children receive from staff, as well as how much the management team continually think about improvements that can be made to further develop the nursery.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in preparing the nursery for their next Ofsted inspection and will provide effective and supportive leadership and management to your team. You will be responsible for the smooth running of the nursery, conducting staff appraisals, team meetings and promoting the nursery to prospective new families. In addition to this, you will continually monitor staffs performance and identify needs for staff training and upskilling.

Your responsibilities as a Nursery Manager will include:

  • To be responsible for all aspects of people management
  • Providing staff with feedback on a weekly basis
  • To be responsible for recruitment of highly motivated employees
  • Ensure staff are offered frequent and relevant training and development
  • To conduct thorough risk assessments
  • Review and update all nursery policy and procedures
  • To ensure the maintenance of consistently high standards
  • Develop and maintain systems which support quality standards
  • To develop, monitor and maintain appropriate systems
  • To ensure that all staff maintain full and accurate records of key childrens progress
  • Ensure the nursery runs to full capacity
  • To cover ratios as and when required

Requirements of this Nursery Manager Role:

  • Minimum of Level 3 in Childcare
  • Minimum of 4 years previous experience as a Deputy Manager or above
  • Experience of child protection and safeguarding
  • Excellent understanding and knowledge of Ofsted standards
  • Excellent knowledge of the The Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum
