About The Client

Our client is currently looking to recruit multiple Early Years Practitioners who have already achieved a Level 3 Childcare qualification for an ASAP start. The nursery provides outstanding facilities for children between the ages of 3 months to pre-school. They are an Ofsted registered provider and achieved an overall grade 'Good' on their latest inspection. Each of their rooms reflect the 7 areas of learning, as part of the EYFS.

This is a great opportunity for anyone who has previous experience in Childcare, looking to further develop their existing experience, skills and knowledge within the Childcare industry, by working alongside staff with several years of combined experience and receiving a high standard of ongoing training, for your professional development. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year previous experience as a Practitioner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high standards of care and education to meet the individual needs of all children
  • Acquire and maintain positive working partnerships with staff, parents and carers
  • Contribute to a high standard of quality within the nursery, ensuring the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage are met at all times
  • Ensure appropriate planning and assessment is accurately maintained for key children
  • Undertake the role of key person as described in the policy
  • Prepare and supervise activities
  • Supervise and support children at all times
  • Ensure that all children are kept safe
  • Notify Designated Safeguarding Officer of any safeguarding concerns in a timely manner
  • Maintain a positive attitude at all times with children, parents, colleagues and visitors
  • Ensure confidentiality, where appropriate, is maintained
  • Adhere to all Health & Safety policies and procedures and undertake a shared responsibility for cleanliness and Health & Safety throughout the nursery
  • Work as part of a team to ensure the companies values are maintained
  • Attend monthly staff meetings, planning meetings and undertake training as required
  • Undertake any other duties as reasonably requested by the Line Manager
