Salary: Up to £30,074.00 per year

An exciting role for a Deputy Nursery Manager has become available at one of our clients settings, based in Croydon. This is a great opportunity for a candidate who is currently a Room Leader looking to progress or already a Deputy Manager looking for a new challenge in a new setting. If you have a full Level 3 in Childcare and are eager to progress in your career, we would love to hear from you!

If you are looking to progress in your Management career within a friendly and growing chain of nurseries, this is the job for you! You will have the opportunity to assist the Nursery Manager in running the setting on a day-to-day basis and will be acting Manager temporarily in the absence of the Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • To support the implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stage
  • Overseeing planning and record keeping
  • Promote and facilitate partnership with parents/carers
  • Support with the development of and maintaining highly professional working relationships with relevant Local Authority departments, regulatory bodies and other agencies
  • Remain knowledgeable of current developments in childcare and education policies and practices
  • Assist the Manager with maintaining accurate accounts for the nursery and produce management information in accordance with company procedures
  • Assist with the preparation and delivery of regular staff, planning and parent meetings and other events

Requirements for this Role:

  • Level 3 or above in Childcare
  • Previous experience of managing a room or team within a nursery setting
  • A formal management qualification is desirable although not essential
  • A current First Aid qualification
  • Sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures
