Nursery Deputy Manager

Salary: £25,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client who are seeking to recruit a Nursery Deputy Manager to start as soon as possible. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Nursery Manager in the daily running of the setting. This position will require you to cover the Nursery Managers daily duties in their absence and will also require time spent in the rooms.
If you are looking for a Management position in which you will be working within a friendly nursery with hard working and dedicated staff, this is the role for you! This role requires a full Level 3 in Childcare or above and a minimum of 2 years previous experience as a Room Leader or above in a day nursery setting. If you meet these requirements, you will be equally considered for this role and in for a chance of joining this growing and supportive nursery in the very near future!

Key Responsibilities as Deputy Nursery Manager:
- Occasionally opening and closing the nursery on early or late shifts
- Ensure that nursery staff are following procedures
- Ensure confidentiality is maintained, where appropriate
- Work closely in collaboration with the Nursery Manager
- Support and liaise with the Nursery Manager to ensure the smooth running of the nursery
- Play an active role in preparing the nursery for Ofsted inspections
- Be a positive role model to both staff and children alike
- Attend management and staff meetings
- Any other duties appropriate to the post
Requirements for this Nursery Deputy Manager Role:
- Level 3 or above in Childcare
- 2+ years previous experience as Room Leader or above
- Eagerness to progress in your career
