Salary: £23,758.00-£25,000.00 per hour
Our client is currently recruiting for a Senior Nursery Practitioner (Room Leader) that is qualified to a minimum of Level 3 in Childcare and have proven experience of leading a team. You will be responsible for leading your room and providing effective management to your team. This is a great opportunity for a candidate who has had previous experience as a Senior Nursery Practitioner / Room Leader and looking for a new challenge in a different environment.
You will be joining a team of experienced and extremely supportive staff who truly care about their teams development. They achieved an overall grade 'Good' on the latest Ofsted inspection and received the below feedback:

The nursery is open from 7:30am - 6:30pm and has children between the ages of 3 months - 5 years.

Your responsibilities as a Senior Nursery Practitioner will include:
- To care for the differing needs of individual key children
- To support & mentor all staff within the age group
- To delegate tasks to staff and hold them accountable for specific aspects of practice
- To have overall responsibility of designated rooms (specific age group) and their management
- To ensure all progress reviews are up to date and observations are completed regularly
- To support staff in planning a learning environment, both inside and outdoors
- To support staff in caring for the personal and dietary needs of each child
- To always act as a positive role model for the children
- To take responsibility of liaising with parents and carers
- Carry out specific duties with regard to key children
- To support and ensure all staff maintain accurate and up to date records for each key child
- To regularly review resources within the room and liaise with the Support manager to make sure that needs of the room are met
- Attend regular staff and team meetings when required
- Support staff in maintaining the safety of children at all times
- To ensure all staff understand and adhere to nursery policies and procedures
Requirements of this Senior Nursery Practitioner Role:
- Level 3 in Childcare or above
- Previous Childcare experience
- Previous experience in leading a team
- Ambition to progress in your career
